Barend Hemmes was raised in the countryside of Africa, where he developed a love of design merging colours, landscapes a space.
Teamed with a working knowledge of a range of materials from metals to woods, and an indepth knowledge of the structural workings of the built environment, Barend has been able to build Massow Designs into a specialist service provider whose offering is rare in today's niche industry environment.
As a result of his extensive research and experience Barend can use different, unorthodox materials to create a quirky, interesting designs that elevate his work out of the 'run-of-the-mill' bracket. All of the Barend's commissioned pieces evolve through extensive analysis and discussion with each and every client. Each piece is designed to compliment the lifestyle, mindset and attitude of the client.
Barend is also a custom motorcycle enthusiast and recently completed the building of his first concept motorcycle, a sleek cruiser based on the leaping Jaguar logo.
